Hi there, I’m Rach. I live in South Devon, a beautiful part of the country with Dartmoor on one side and the coast on my other. Once described as Audrey Hepburn meets Vivienne Westwood with a sprinkling of Margot Leadbetter (Google ‘The Good Life’) it’s a description that sums me and my wonderfully quirky neurodiverse household up perfectly.
A modern maximalist I’m a lover of statement pieces, bold design and dark colours. Oh, and throw in my love of gold or more specifically gold leaf too (don’t stand around too long or I may gild you). In fact if my interiors were a season I’d most definitely be winter with deep autumn hues thrown in. I’m not one for following trends I’d rather set them :-). I love luxury in interiors too! My forte? My Super Hero Power? It’s sharing how to save on projects so there are ยฃ’s left over for that big splurge item too.

Ban The Bland
First up I have a confession! I love colour! In fact I love all the colours! Pastels, neons, jewelled and dark. Bet that surprised you! What I don’t love though is bland! And if you’re here reading this then I’m guessing you don’t either. Shall we start a ‘Ban The Bland’ revolution together ๐
The thing with colour though is that we need to find a palette that’s suits us as individuals. I’ve found mine and so now I’m here to help you find yours too. The colours that give you confidence and make your heart sing. La! Once you have your colours the rest of the jenga jigsaw puzzle that is interior design falls into place.
Banish The Beige
It’s one thing to say but another to put into action! You have your colours and now you need to apply them to the blank canvas that is your house. And this is the clever bit. With several home renovations under my wing I quickly realised that no matter what size your budget it will slip through your hands quicker than a slippery thing!
And that’s where DIY comes in. Why pay someone else when with help you can do it yourself? There’s nothing I won’t or haven’t tried to do myself as long as it’s legal ๐ In fact I rarely call a trade in now, tackling anything from carpentry to tiling and everything in between. So whether you want to plaster a wall, make a cushion or stencil a floor I probably have a guide or ‘How To‘ with your name on it breaking the process down into bite size, easy to follow chunks.

Life’s Too Short For Vanilla
In all honesty you really don’t need a massive budget to create a beautifully and wonderfully luxurious home! With over 15 years in the design world including designing furniture I’m here to help you treat your budget like a Stretch Armstrong!
I’ll help you make your decorating and renovation budget go further so you can buy THAT sofa. You know, the one that you really want! And how do I know this? Because that’s what I do everyday in real life, help other people realise their decor dreams whilst banishing the mundane and maintaining the luxe vibe.
Be A Peacock in A Flock Of Pigeons
And finally. Never forget that Interiors should also be fun. Stand out from the crowd! Live your best interiors life! Have that ‘Can Do’ attitude. Because in the end life’s way too short to waste it on vanilla! If all else fails you can’t go wrong if you follow my mantra. My golden rules for the perfect interior design recipe!
K.N.O.B
