Anna Hayman has always been enduringly obsessed with pattern, crafts, and design. She considers herself wonderfully lucky to have been given the encouragement to pursue these obsessions. And ultimately to make them into a livelihood.
Ever influenced by the Art Deco period, and my her own 1920’s home she mixes elements of this era and the Biba era, along with my her indigenous style to create prints with soul and timelessness. Avid about texture, her fringed lampshades and soft velvets, along with her heavy patterned papers, tasselled cushions and bedspreads evoke a languorous, decadent way of being which she loves.
Anna Hayman creates each print carefully using either lino cutting techniques or painting with ink or decorators paints. The colours she adores are inky blues, blush pinks, hot greens, gold and of course black.
She uses her home as a canvas for her work as can be seen in her journal, and on her Instagram feed. She has also now embarked on traditional Interior Design, as well as products allowing her to design bespoke prints for each client. And therefore offer a truly unique service. Her lampshades and cushions are also also available from Liberty and Harrods here in the UK.
