We drink in a table and the food adorning it with our eyes before any other sense becomes involved. And then grasp the porcelain, glass or cutlery with anticipation building towards the flavour sensation. And oh it’s just so wrong on so many levels when the cup isn’t porcelain, or the glass isn’t crystal. Is it just me that finds food can be so let down by the way in which we serve it? Well no more, with Yvonne Ellen you can achieve stunning vintage and beautifully quirky table styling with ease.

For those of you who have never come across this amazing brand before let me tell you a little more about them!!
They are an independent family business who specialise in a truly unique range of home and giftware. And not only do they have a strong passion for beautiful vintage fine bone china too (just like me) but they take this passion and create the most amazing quirky and decorative pieces featuring wonderful illustrations. They truly are one of a kind pieces.

If you saw my recent Instagram posts you’ll know that it was my husbands birthday the other day. And a big one at that too!! Don’t let him know I told you (he never reads the blog BTW) but he was 60! Like where did that time go? It only seems moments ago that we met in St Tropez and yet it’s actually 35 years ago! Anyway, being such a milestone I really wanted to create a beautiful and joyful table display in the my dining room for him. And when I saw the Yvonne Ellen Collections, well that was me, sold. I love the drama that the pastel hues and delicate patterns create with my dark home as their backdrop. So without further ado, I’m just going to throw allllllll the pictures at you x

So what do you think? Which pieces are your favourite? I styled the Boozy Brunch Collection complete with the Gin and Tonic Tea Pot and Milk Jug. I love the vintage styling, the quirky design and the sprinkling of humour. And they are without a doubt a great conversation starter too. Se it a birthday celebration like me, Christmas, another festivity or just for everyday use you really can’t beat Yvonne Ellen for stylish tableware. Oh, and the cups and saucers make fabulous gifts too!
