Oh my goodness, who doesn’t want to appear on Apartment Therapy?? I mean it’s like the biggest Interior Blog out there! And I was lucky enough to have my kitchen makeover featured on it earlier this year. I love that they say. ” It’s really exciting to see what a difference a coat of paint and some thoughtful gilding can do.”
And this little excerpt made me smile too. ”It’s not necessarily that dark colours make a small room feel smaller, but that limited colours make a small room feel bigger.” To me, all of the black/charcoal serves as a neutral, clean-slate backdrop the same way an entirely white kitchen would.” They also had this to say.
The new dark palette is dramatic, while all the gold details add light and warmth. The cabinets have been painted, totally changing their look—now the vertical lines just add a bit of subtle texture, and the skinny columns look more unified with the ornamentation above the stove.
I’m sure you’ve all heard of Apartment Therapy but if you haven’t it’s well worth a visit. But do beware, it’s a massive site and a quick visit can quickly turn into a lost afternoon! Oh and if you’re wondering what the best brand of paint is for painting kitchen cabinets, the one I used myself, I’ve written a post all about it for you.
