I’m sure everyone has heard of the legend that is Apartment Therapy. And so when they got in touch to ask if I’d like to do a home tour with them who was I to refuse! I mean it’s an honour right?? They have previously featured my kitchen too. And not once! But twice. In fact my kitchen was one of their best makeovers of 2018. What an absolute honour. Mind you, where did that time go? It feels like yesterday that I was knee deep in kitchen cabinets and here I am three years later coming to the end of 2021. Without further ado come and see my amazing dark gothic glam home tour on apartment therapy.
Anyhoo, back to the home tour. I thought long and hard about this because the house to me at that point was looking a bit tired. But never one to shy away from a challenge I thought what the hell and said yes anyway. Giving myself just over 4 weeks to get ready for the photographer. In my head I thought well I’ll just give a couple of rooms a lick of paint. And well you all know what happens when I have a head fart moment like this! Yep, that’s right. A simple lick of paint turned into completely redecorating not one, not two, not even three but seven rooms 🙂
I can tell you I was pooped when the day of the actual phot shoot came around. Everyone in the house pitched in to get the house spic and span. Tidying away the every day crap though became a source of much frustration. Literally every cupboard and drawer in the house was filled to bursting. And opening the under stairs cupboard became a health hazard! There was a real threat of being engulfed by coats!
Anyhoo, we got there in the end, my amazing dark gothic glam home tour is now live on Apartment Therapy. The shoot, in fact went brilliantly. It’s the first time I’ve had the house photographed too. Would I do it again?? Do you know what, I think I would. In fact in a way I did, we also did a video tour!
